Accessibility (Barrier Free) Design and Construction

For the design and construction of Capital Projects at MSU, the term accessibility is used by the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design as follows:

There are hard copies of the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design located in the PDC offices at the Infrastructure Planning and Facilities Building.

The Design Guidelines and Technical Standards are used in the creation of construction documents for renovated space, additions, and new buildings.  Some examples of areas where these standards apply include plumbing fixtures and elevators.
